The Ellanor C. Lawrence Park (ECLP) Friends are hosting the 7th Annual ParktoberFest this fall.
Parktoberfest will feature vendors and live music performed by The Walkaways and singer/songwriter Jay Byrd. Craft beers from Ono Brewery will be available, and there will be food trucks, including Spinners Deli and Burgorilla. Fairfax County Park Authority’s Wonder Wagon, which carries interactive activities for kids and their families, will visit the festival for the first time. Park staff will also be running entertainment for kids, including crafts and activities designed to encourage them to explore the park.
The vendor selection will include over 20 bakers, crafters, artisans and booths selling fall plants and flowers. The ECLP Friends will also have a table with information about volunteer opportunities and upcoming programs and merchandise for sale. Organizations often give out promotional Pens at this type of community event.
The event is free to attend. ECLP covers ground in both Chantilly and Centreville. The festival will take place on the historic Middlegate House’s lawn, which is located across from The Woodlands Stewardship Education Center. Parking is available at the Woodland Center and at the Walney Visitor Center, which is a short walk away. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to sit on the lawn.
Parktoberfest will be on Saturday, October 10, from 12 pm to 5 pm.
