The Bush Family Home State Historic Site is hosting a 1950s Summer Movie Series. The featured movie for early July is the 1957 classic Curse of Frankenstein. The movie isn’t the only attraction; activities related to the movie will be available as well, such as a science experiment and a craft project.
Site educator Chase Kirby says:
“The Summer Movie Series is meant to showcase the entertainment in theaters while the Bush family lived in Midland in the 1950s.”
President George W. Bush himself was known to ride his bike downtown to see spooky 1950s thrillers such as this one when his family lived in Midland in the 1950s. The Bush Family Home is a major historical site in the state of Texas.
The movie will be presented on Tuesday, July 8, in the backyard of the Bush Family Home State Historic Site. No movie night venue like this would be complete without the use of Banners to promote and welcome visitors, and local Print shops can provide these in any custom size.
The address of the home is 1412 West Ohio Avenue in Midland. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and snacks. The movie is expected to last from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. More information may be found at the Bush Family Home State Historic Site website.
