Bugs and other “creepy crawlies” are often underappreciated, but a Houston event will give them their time in the spotlight.
The Buffalo Bayou Partnership has planned an event it hopes will bring out everyone’s inner bug lover, even in those who don’t appreciate the importance of the six- and eight-legged set. “Bugstock” will welcome all ages for one day only, taking place in Yolanda Black Navarro Buffalo Bend Nature Park.
The agenda for the Saturday evening is filled with activities that will showcase the importance of insects and arachnids, and an assortment of games and activities will be on offer. There will be a bug walk and scavenger hunt as well as critters crafts, and the music lovers in the crowd will be treated to tunes supplied by the “Beetles” cover band. Bug tacos will be on the menu too, for the adventurous.
Fun events like this often have a higher purpose, and a brochure printing company can be called on to supply a variety of publications that highlight the important role insects, spiders, and other arthropods play in an area's ecosystem.
This salute to the often underappreciated minibeasts will help to wrap up the Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s September schedule on the 25th of the month. The venue can be found at 2300 South St Macario Garcia Drive.
