The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center offers environmentally based learning opportunities all year long, and it has an activity in the works that will have pollinators buzzing with excitement.
Bees, moths, butterflies, and other pollinators bring life and motion into a garden, and attendees in the DIY Pollinator Container Garden workshop will discover how easy it can be to invite them in. It will be hands-on and may be a fun activity to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Both members and non-members are welcome to register for the session with fees starting at $52. Minors need to be at least five years old and must attend with an adult.
Participants will be putting together a container garden that features native flowering plants, and each project can accommodate up to two gardeners. Everyone is advised to dress for the weather and the task at hand, and they can take their planting home with them at the end of the class.
Working on a horticultural or craft project together can help moms and kids to build happy memories. Event organizers may choose to distribute small Promotional Products to thank everyone for coming out.
