Denton residents will be able to enjoy The Northlake Margarita Festival next month. Organizers are expecting around 2,500 guests at the festival.
Tickets for the festival include entry to a margarita tasting contest, live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and a trip giveaway. The contest element will determine which local bar or restaurant has the best margarita in town. Visitors to the festival will act as judges.
Each ticketholder gets to sample ten 3.5-ounce glasses of margaritas (the legal maximum pour size) served over ice from each restaurant or bar’s selection. There will be both traditional margaritas from each establishment as well as some not-so-traditional varieties to sample. Guests will vote for their favorite margarita and the restaurant or bar with the most votes wins $1,000 and local bragging rights.
There will also be live DJs playing music throughout the festival. Food trucks will be on site and there will be a beer garden for guests who want something other than a margarita. A giveaway will also take place at the festival where guests can win a trip to Mexico. Flyer printing is a popular way of promoting events like this.
The Northlake Margarita Festival is scheduled for Saturday, March 21st at Hilltop Truck Park, 8150 Thompson Road, just south of Denton. Organizers have said they will be donating a portion of the festival proceeds to children’s charities.
