Denton to host sensory-friendly event for children

Children are always eager to discover the world around them, and Denton organizers have recently announced a May event that should interest many families.

Denton will soon be hosting Touch-a-Truck-Day. This event is now in its fifth consecutive year, and it has catered to a large audience in the past. The main intention is to provide children with an opportunity to obtain an up-close-and-personal look at their favorite vehicles. Some examples include police cars, construction equipment, and emergency vehicles. Staff will also be on hand to answer any questions these young attendees may have.

Not only does this festival provide a means for the younger generation to satisfy their curiosity, but it can also foster an interest in future careers. Furthermore, this is a sensory-friendly event for children who may have developmental disabilities.

Educational events will often use a kaleidoscope of unique marketing techniques to keep the public informed. Partnering with companies that provide banner printing services, updating standalone social media pages, and placing Flyers in commercial venues are some of the options at their disposal.

The 5th Annual Touch-a-Truck Day is being held on Saturday, May 2 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. In the event of rain, it will take place on Sunday, May 3. All activities are hosted within the CH Collins Athletic Complex at 1500 Long Road. While entrance is free, attendees are encouraged to provide a donation if possible.
