Denton to host hands-on painting workshop

Denton residents who are interested to learn about the art of watercolor painting will soon be attending a workshop slated to be held in July. This seminar is open to everyone, and novices are encouraged to attend.

The Beginning Watercolor Workshop will be focusing on how to accurately reproduce images of fruit. Some of the topics that attendees can explore include how to mix specific colors, the techniques needed to create a sense of visual depth, a handful of different brush strokes, and effective methods when shading.

Additionally, all attendees will be provided with a take-home supply kit. Some items include a full set of watercolor paints, two brushes, and a pad of Strathmore watercolor paper. These gifts are offered at no additional charge.

Events designed to cater to the local artistic community will normally rely on cost-effective advertising techniques to accommodate limited budgets. Some approaches that have been known to produce results include mass brochure printing, working in tandem with commercial marketing services, creating dedicated social media pages, and simple word of mouth.

The Denton Beginning Watercolor Workshop will be taking place on Saturday, July 4th. The session is set to begin at 10:30 AM, and to conclude at 12 PM. It is being hosted by Wildflower Art Studio located at 715 North Locust Street. Tickets are currently priced at $65 per attendee.
