Denton Chamber of Commerce confirms upcoming patriotic festival

Denton will soon be celebrating 160 of freedom, and they plan to mark this special occasion with a live open-air festival. The event is set to offer a kaleidoscope of unique activities, and all ages are welcome to attend.

This annual festival has simply come to be known as the Juneteenth Celebration. It is intended to mark the day when Union troops entered the city of Galveston, and ensured the emancipation of all remaining slaves. The date is normally attributed to June 19th, 1856.

This year's festival offers guests a wide range of activities to over a period of four days. These include a parade, a softball tournament, a community luncheon, basketball games, attractions for children, and vendor giveaways.

Events rooted in historical events will often combine patriotism with standard marketing techniques to achieve the desired results, and to ensure that locals remain informed. Organizers are also likely to encourage vendors to advertise their offerings through Business Cards, by exchanging email addresses, and by handing out Flyers throughout the day of the festival.

The Denton Juneteenth Festival is being held from Wednesday, June 17th to Saturday, June 20th. All activities are being hosted within Fred Moore Park located at 501 South Bradshaw Street. The event is free to attend, and vendors who wish to participate must complete a registration form found on the official festival website.
