Denton residents who wish to learn the basics of clay pottery will likely be interested in a one-day seminar scheduled to be held in October. This event is ideal for anyone hoping to hone their fundamental skills, and it is associated with autumn themes.
Wildflower Art Studio has announced that it will be hosting a two-hour workshop that introduces shaping clay by hand. The main goal of each student is to create a pumpkin from scratch while being guided by an experienced instructor. Once the pumpkin has been made, it will be glazed and fired within a kiln. All creations can then be taken home once the curing process has been completed.
All supplies will be included within the price of tickets. However, guests also have the option of purchasing a take-home kit for a separate fee. Coffee and snacks will be included at no additional charge.
Community-themed workshops will often employ marketing methods targeting a niche audience. Some examples may include working with graphic design firms when producing Flyers, placing pamphlets within local art studios, and ensuring that social media pages are kept up to date.
Intro to Pottery: Clay Pumpkins is being held on Sunday, October 4th from 3 PM to 5 PM. This event will be hosted by Wildflower Art Studio located at 717 North Locust Street. Tickets cost $75, and the take-home kit can be purchased for an additional $55.
