Cocktail learning course spreads knowledge in Denton

Alcohol aficionados and cocktail enthusiasts will want to keep an open schedule next month, as a course exploring gin-based cocktails is visiting Denton.

The Cocktails with the Distiller series will offer Denton residents an opportunity to learn more about making cocktails at home using gin and other ingredients. Guests will have access to gin cocktails made by the instructor to sip on while learning the finer points of mixing cocktails.

The course will focus on the different types of gin and attempt to overcome stereotypes related to this form of hard alcohol. Through trying different cocktails, attendees will learn what they really think of gin. Guests are welcome to bring a date, friends, or family to the learning session to discover the best ways to mix gin cocktails. The information learned is ideal for use when hosting guests at a house party or barbecue. Attendees are encouraged to find a safe way home after the event, since consumption of alcohol will take place.

Andersons Eatery and Distillery will host the mixology course on Wednesday, August 14, with the doors opening at 7:00 PM and the course closing at 9:00 PM. General admission costs $25, and interested parties can register online.
