Fort Worth theater fans will have a chance to see the musical Hamilton after all, while Dallas residents will receive a second chance.
Dallas Summer Musicals brought Hamilton to Music Hall at Fair Park in 2019, along with EduHam, the special Hamilton Education Program for high school students. Performing Arts Fort Worth will still have a chance to bring Hamilton to Dallas-Fort Worth, despite the originally scheduled play dates of June 9-28, 2020 being canceled. The musical has been rescheduled by the Hamilton national tour for January 18 through February 6, 2022 at the originally planned venue, Bass Performance Hall.
Theater tickets are sometimes given to clients as Corporate Gifts.
Those who hold tickets for the cancelled show and purchased them from the Bass Hall box office or the Bass Hall website will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Ticket holders will receive emails with all the pertinent information regarding the new performance dates. Those who bought their tickets from a third party will need to get in touch with wherever they made purchase.
The hit Broadway musical tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of America’s Founding Fathers using a score that blends blues, R&B, jazz, hip-hop and rap. Coming to the colonies from the West Indies, Hamilton, served during the Revolutionary War as a close associate of Washington and later became the first Treasury Secretary of the new nation.
