In its continual effort to upgrade their customer’s in-store as well as digital shopping experience Walmart has made the decision to begin a remodeling of 72 of its stores across the state including nine within the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
As part of the remodel, stores will receive upgrades in layouts, services and technology in an effort to supply faster, more convenient shopping and delivery services within an hour. Additionally, there will an expansion of services such providing Walmart+ members with free pharmacy delivery, including on GLP-1s. Plus, an app will be available to assist customers in navigating through the stores, as well as booking services at the store’s Auto Care Center.
Local printing services may be used extensively to provide temporary signage during the remodeling of a business, while the business remains open.
Up market brands and products such as Oura, Lemme, De’Longhi and Jessica Simpson will be added to the remodeled stores along with interactive displays to allow customers to visualize how products will appear in their homes.
Walmart pharmacies will receive substantial overhauls with an emphasis on the company’s vision centers. The remodeling will provide improved convenience as well as privacy and add services such as eyeglass adjustments, and free cleanings. The stores will also be stocked with upscale vision wear brands such as Calvin Klein, Nike and DKNY.
All total, Walmart will be conducting remodels at over 650 of its Neighborhood Markets and Supercenters in 2026.
