Sandoitchi, a successful pop-up that offers Japanese “sandos” with a variety of unique fillings, has secured a permanent home in downtown Dallas.
The new location is at 1604 Main Street, formerly occupied by the French bakery La Tarte Tropezienne. Sandoitchi has already began utilizing the space, albeit only for pop-up events so far. Later this summer, however, the company plans to begin renovations, according to spokesperson Keith Tran.
Flyer printing services are used extensively by pop-up business locations.
Founded in 2020, Sandoitchi was part of the culinary pop-up pandemic wave that swept the nation. Sandoitchi has, perhaps thanks to its continually evolving menu of Japanese fare and trademark sandos, persevered beyond the pandemic.
Sandoitchi’s sandwiches are prepared on rich, soft milk bread with a variety of filling options, including Nashville-style hot chicken, egg salad, pork katsu, and even a caviar-topped Japanese wagyu. Additionally, there are fruit and cream filled dessert sandos.
The company does not simply rely on the taste of its food for success, also utilizing sharp branding and Packaging. The sandwiches are cut into finger sandwich-like sizes and are packaged neatly in little Boxes where the ingredients are artistically displayed.
Skillful use of social media has also been a contributing factor to the success of Sandoitchi, garnering the brand fans not just in Dallas, but elsewhere as well. The concept has been taken on the road to pop-ups in Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Austin, Houston, and Fort Worth, as well as a number of West Coast cities.
