This year’s Dallas Art Ball provided philanthropists with an elegant affair themed “Art + Architecture” on April 23.
A red letter event on the spring social scene for Dallas’ movers and shakers every year, the 2016 Art Ball was held at the Dallas Museum of Art with
Ann and David Sutherland co-chairing the event.
Attendees, dressed in their finest, enjoyed mingling and sipping craft cocktails by Hennessy Cognac and Belvedere Vodka. Guests were able to bid on a variety of items and experiences as they strolled throughout the museum. Among items available at the silent auction were travel packages, art and furniture.
Events such as the Art Ball give high-end businesses a chance to advertise their products and services by making a donation to one of the auctions or by being among the suppliers of food, decorations or entertainment. Savvy entrepreneurs will ensure there are Brochures and Business Cards available to guests who, if they don’t win, might still be interested in doing business with them.
Dinner for the evening included Maine lobster salad, loup de mer, duck breast and coconut popsicles, all supplied by Cassandra Fine Catering. While eating, diners enjoyed live music as well as an exciting live auction hosted by Christie’s Auction House that featured trips to Italy and to Africa among other items.
The evening's finale was the giving away of an SUV donated by Park Place Jaguar.
