Neighborhood grocery to come to downtown Dallas

Ari’s Pantry, a popular neighborhood grocery store that started in Oak Cliff, is branching out and will open a store downtown at 1800 Main Street where Berkley’s Market used to be.

Ari Lowenstein, the founder of Ari’s Pantry, will partner with Alan Kearney, among others, in the opening of the new downtown market. Kearney owns Patrick Kennedy’s Irish Pub and The Crafty Irishman downtown and Cannon’s Corner Irish Pub in Oak Cliff. The new market will in many ways mimic the Oak Cliff location stocking dried fruits, gourmet goods, pastas, produce and meals to eat on the premises as well as to go and a gelato stand and coffee shop.

The new grocery will be across from the Main Street Park very close to the middle of downtown on the ground floor of The Merc apartment high-rise. The location has excellent potential with area being comprised of residences, businesses and hotels.

Flyer printing services offer a great way for a business to advise a new neighborhood eatery or other business.

According to Lowenstein, customers can get coffee at 7 am, pick up sandwiches, salads and entrees throughout the day and as late as 9 pm come in and grab a bottle of wine. Plus, the option of having a glass of wine on the premises with a tasty cheese board will be available as well.

The downtown Ari’s Pantry will tentatively open in mid-April.
