The Dallas neighborhood of Oak Lawn will later this year become home to the nationally recognized chain restaurant, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken.
The fast-growing Nashville-based chain was founded by Nick Bishop, Sr. and his son Nick Bishop, Jr. in 2012. The Oak Lawn location will be the second in Dallas, the other opening in 2022 in Deep Ellum, and the third in Texas, after an Austin location opened in February 2024.
The menu in Oak Lawn will be same as other Hattie B’s locations featuring chicken tenders, sandwiches, collard greens, and pimento mac & cheese, along with peach cobbler and banana pudding for dessert. The drinks menu will contain selections such as cocktails and craft beer.
Print shops are often used by new eateries for sourcing Menus.
The new restaurant will take over the space formally occupied by Lucky’s Hot Chicken at 3827 Lemmon Avenue. The location was an Einstein’s Bros. Bagel shop before being taken over by Lucky’s, but was originally constructed to be an IHOP restaurant.
The 3,662 square-foot building will remain unchanged for the most part, though some necessary changes to the original design, including creating a separate entrance for delivery pick-ups and for to-go orders, will be made.
