Namak Indian Cuisine, a downtown Indian restaurant, has announced that it is spreading its wings and opening a second location.
Known for its alluring atmosphere where diners can enjoy Indian classics, the original Namak Indian Cuisine restaurant is located at 1700 Pacific Avenue and opened in 2023. The second Namak will open at 5500 Greenville Avenue in the space formerly occupied by Texadelphia Cheesesteak at the Old Town shopping center.
The new location will, like the original restaurant, offer iconic Indian dishes such as chicken tikka masala and butter chicken along with a diverse array of biryani that includes mutton, chicken and vegetable with gulab jamun and rice pudding as dessert options. Alcohol selections at Namak Indian Cuisine include Indian-influenced cocktails such as the restaurants’ We Love Namak, which includes among its ingredients strawberry and mango puree and agave syrup, and a selection of beers on tap.
Banners are often used to announce a new business’s opening; however, the same company that offers banner printing can also design and Print Menus.
The second location will, according to owner Govardhann Boricha, provide more of the same with some additional features. Differences at the Greenville Avenue location will be the presence of a 15-seat patio, a larger indoor dining room seating about 75, and a bigger bar.
Per Boricha, the plan is to open their second location by December.
