DFW hotels and resorts high on list of Worlds Best Awards
Two Dallas-Fort Worth resorts made it in the top five of Travel + Leisure’s annual World’s Best Awards in Texas with six other DFW properties on the list of the state and the U.S.
Every year the publication Travel + Leisure conducts a survey among its readers to locate the ultimate travel experiences throughout the globe. From the information collected the top resorts, hotels and travel destinations are ranked. In all T+L sorted through over 180,000 responses from its readers as well as 657,000 votes from received from 8,700 hotels, resorts, cruise lines and other hospitality properties.

In the resort category the golf-focused Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, which has only been open less than two years, was ranked No. 2 in the Lone Star State. Coming in at No. 5 is The Gaylord Texan Resort Convention Center, which expanded its footprint seven years ago with a $120 million addition dubbed the Vineyard Tower that added 86,000 square feet of meeting space and 303 deluxe guest rooms.
Fort Worth’s Hotel Drover, which was noted for its overall opulence and for providing flawless accommodations and service as well as multiple fine dining options, was declared the Metroplex’s best hotel for the second year running.
