The 26-mile Silver Line will offer new stations, state-of-the art Stadler trains and what has been described as seamless transfers while making a significant change in how residents of the region travel. DART CEO Nadine Lee said:
“This state-of-the-art train will improve connections, create new access to jobs, and drive economic growth across North Texas, with a fitting theme to ‘Discover New Horizons.’ Most importantly, this line shows our riders that we heard them, and we delivered.”
Without the benefit of banner printing services, grand openings can hardly be described as grand.
A Grand Opening Celebration will take place on October 25 when the Silver Line makes its official debut, including at select stations will be cultural performances, live music and family programming. Additionally, on the 25th DART will provide free rides all day throughout the entire system. Moreover, riding the Silver Line will be free from October 25 through November 8, so there will be plenty of opportunity to check out the state-of-the-art stations as well as the new Stadler trains firsthand.
