Dallas-Fort Worth Airport expanding by addition of Terminal F

A sixth terminal is in the planning stage at the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport in conjunction with American Airlines, which represents a long-term commitment by American in the most rapidly growing part of the U.S.

Per the plans, DFW would invest $3bn to $3.5bn that would be used to create enhancements to Terminal C as well as building Terminal F and making other terminal improvements. The chosen site for the new terminal is south of Terminal D and will be large enough to accommodate as many as 24 gates.

DFW and American will start design work immediately, exploring various option for the Terminal F layout. Terminal F is anticipated to take the changing aviation industry into account when creating its design. These changes would include the use of technologies to expedite customer movement, improve operational performance and maintain airlines cost efficiencies.

Additions to large structures almost inevitably go hand-in-hand with the need for printing services to ensure the most effective signage design and placement.

Last year, 28 new destinations were announced by DFW, creating the largest footprint of any U.S. airport. The airport offers flights to over 60 international destinations. By June of this year, American Airlines will offer over 900 flights per day from DFW and will offer access to over 230 nonstop destinations.
