The 57th Kolache Factory recently opened in the Dallas area, the first in the county for the Katy-based franchise, which was founded in Houston in 1982 and is privately owned.
New locations for businesses are often announced with the help of a banner printing service.
The location offers sweet and savory options of the Czech pastries. Among the sweet kolache on the menu are strawberry, apple, cherry, cream cheese, lemon, blueberry and peach. A wide and varied selection of savory kolache include Philly cheesesteak, bacon and cheddar, ham and Swiss cheese, pepperoni pizza, chicken enchilada with cheese, Italian chicken, and jalapeno and cheddar.
The Factory offers a number of breakfast kolaches that match one of several meats, such as sausage, ham, or bacon, with egg and cheese. Other breakfast options include an egg, cheese, and potato kolache, a sausage and gravy option, and the No.1 choice among egg kolache – Ranchero.
Owners of the Dallas County location, which is in nearby Richardson, are David and Gabriela Stephenson. The couple also own the Murphy store and their long-term plans include three more franchises in the Dallas area. David says he has been a fan of the pastries for 20 years.
The Richardson location will be open 6:00 am to 2:00 pm for breakfast and lunch, which will allow the couple to prioritize family.
