Work will soon begin at Klyde Warren Park on what is being promoted as the “world’s tallest interactive fountain”, and the next major Dallas landmark.
Funded by Nancy Best, a longstanding board member of Klyde Warren Park, and her husband, the fountain is designed with jets that reach higher than any other in the world. The $10m Nancy Best Fountain will be located on the park’s east side at the Pearl Street entrance.
Currently the fountain is under design by Fluidity Design Consultants, a Los Angeles-based company. Installation is scheduled to begin in summer 2021 and will include a central island containing a trio of stainless steel “trees” through which water will pulse and shoot as high as 55 feet into the air.
A shallow, highly reflective pool, located at the fountain’s base, will supply an area for children and adults to enjoy playing in water. Of an evening the fountain’s water will be lighted in various colors that are synchronized to concert soundtracks and comparable to the Eiffel Tower light show.

The Nancy Best Fountain is part of the Phase 2.0 Klyde Warren Park project, which includes a new 1.7-acre park, an expanded My Best Friend’s (dog) Park, and an enlarged Children’s Park.
Dallas’ super-fountain is scheduled to be operational by December 2021
