The 6th annual Brickworks Festival is taking place in Dallas this April for three days. A portion of proceeds raised through various activities will go to provide scholarships for performing arts students.
The festival is set to feature Art in the Park, which is a marketplace for local artisans. They will be selling such items as handmade jewelry, paintings, ceramics, and pottery. There will also be a 5K fun run, a pet parade, a pie eating contest, puppet shows ,and a parade to celebrate San Jacinto/Texas Independence Day.
The Kids' Zone is expected to have features such as a photo booth, hands-on craft activities, and face painting; some activities have a cost attached to them. Confirmed musical guests for this year's festival are Lannie Flowers, Charla Com, and Brendon Preece. In addition, there will be a presentation of scholarships to area students and a variety of food will be available for purchase.
