Suits for Shelters will soon be taking place, for the fifth consecutive year. Tootsies Dallas is partnering the Mary Kay Foundation for the initiative, asking shoppers to donate any business attire which has been gently used, to the organization. In return, shoppers will receive a gift card to be used at Tootsies to the value of $25. The initiative will run until August 5.
The organization implements programs and offers financial support in its commitment to help women who are domestic violence victims, and to eliminate types of cancer which affect women, such as cervical uterine and endometrial cancers.. According to one board member of the Mary Kay Foundation, Ryan Rogers, the Suits for Shelters initiative is the ideal way to involve the community. Publicized using promotional materials, the organization may have utilized the printing skills of local Print companies to produce Stationery, Posters or Banners of a high standard. The suits which are donated will be distributed to women who are battling against domestic violence and staying in the local refuges, so that they can create a professional appearance when attending job interviews.
