The land is an industrial complex on 35.55 acres that was originally a Sears Roebuck distribution, and later the Cedars Commerce Center. The property, which was last used by LBA Logistics, is located south of downtown Dallas at 1600 Roe Street.
A news release noted that the property’s location in proximity to major highways puts it among Dallas’s most significant redevelopment opportunities. The transaction was brokered by Davidson Bogel Estate’s Jake Milner and David Davidson Jr.
Davidson said:
"This acquisition reflects Matthews' nearly 30-year commitment to the Cedars area. Jack Matthews was one of the early pioneers who recognized this neighborhood's potential, and this property represents the next chapter in that vision."
Having printing services create quality Copies of artist renderings of a finished development ahead of a project’s completion can make arranging the selling or leasing of the property in a timely manner more likely.
Previous Matthews projects in the Cedars include the Canvas Hotel, Gilley’s Dallas, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Dallas Police Department Headquarters, Dallas College Administrative Office, and residential units throughout multiple developments, among which were South Side Flats, Belleview, South Side on Lamar, The Beat Lofts, and Southside Place.
