Adelmos restaurant to return to North Dallas this year

A cherished Italian restaurant in North Dallas, Adelmo’s is returning to a new location after having closed December 31, 2025.

The Preston Valley Shopping Center will be the new home for Adelmo’s Ristorante, which is to occupy the former location of the Fuji Steakhouse & Sushi Bar. It will be sharing the development with the Maple Leaf Diner, India Palace, and Le Reve Gelato & Patisserie.

Banner printing services are often employed when a new restaurant or retail establishment opens.

Known for serving Italian food interspersed with French and Mediterranean “accents,” the menu is moderately priced and includes light entrees, risotto, and delicate pastas. The racks of wine bottles create a cozy and romantic atmosphere.

Husband and wife Adelmo and Eliza Banchetti founded the original restaurant in the Knox Street district in 1989. It was relocated in 2015 to the Bijoux space at Inwood Village, where it remained until December 31.

A native of the Italian city of Florence, Banchetti was employed at renowned Dallas restaurants the Pyramid Room and The Mansion prior to launching his namesake restaurant. The Banchetti’s still own Adelmo Ristorante.

A target date for the opening of the new 3,750-square-foot location has not been determined, but according to a spokesperson it is expected to be ready to begin serving in a few months.
