Quonset hut to house new Far-Out bar

The Quonset hut at 1906 E. Haskell Avenue in East Dallas formerly home to Wriggly Tin will in 2025 welcome a new occupant, a restaurant and bar called Far-Out & La Hermana Cerveceria.

Creators Caroline and James Lee, who put together the new culinary concept, have engaged a team of professionals familiar with the East Dallas community. Among those professionals included in the project are Bolsa and Smoke’s Christopher Jeffers; Marc Cassel of the 20 Feet Seafood Joint and Green Room; and Latina Production distillery owner Stephanie Houston.

In describing their upcoming endeavor, the Lee’s said:

"After months of creative brainstorming and a bit of furniture rearranging, we are thrilled to announce an exciting new pioneering concept that will open its doors in 2025. Introducing Far-Out & La Hermana Cerveceria, a dynamic new restaurant and brewery born from the collaboration of industry veterans."

Banner printing services play a key role in the grand opening plans of a wide range of businesses.

Adam Mercado, who will be the bar director, is putting together a unique beverage program with assistance from mixologist Brian McCullough. Mercado has spent time working at Brass Ram and Billy Can Can. Mercado and McCullough will team up to create what the Lee’s have described as an unforgettable drink experience designed to complement the culinary offerings.

The Far-Out bar is already open; however, the restaurant will not be operational until early 2025.
