College senior Annie Combs, after choosing to fill her pandemic forced spare time assembling personal gift packages for her roommates, has quickly realized the potential and turned her pastime into a business.
Combs new business "Perk:Concierge Gifting Service" was launched as a way for people to send individualized gift packages to loved ones in lieu of the in-person gatherings and gift exchanges that COVID-19 has eliminated. More personal than some larger retailers, Perk gifts are custom-made and hand-delivered in person, sans contact, and are geared to make recipients feel special.
Business Cards are one of the most important office supplies for any new endeavor and can increase the likelihood of repeat business.
According to Dallas resident Combs, there are a couple reasons behind the name ‘Perk’. The gift baskets are designed to perk up recipients and to also celebrate perks such as a births, engagement, or graduation. Combs, without prior business experience, launched ‘Perk’ on Instagram in time for Mother’s Day. Now with the holiday season at hand, she is delivering gift Boxes “dressed and ready” to go beneath the Christmas tree.
Consulting with each client on their budget, Combs says gifts can cost from $40 to $400, and she is willing to work with themes such as a favorite sports team or interest. She strives to work primarily with locally owned small businesses when possible and will, upon request by the customer, purchase items from specific retailers.
