The Fourth of July may be just one day, but at the Dallas Arboretum, the celebrations will last for five.
A variety of activities have been
planned to mark the occasion and everyone, no matter what their age, will find something to enjoy. There will be concerts by The Dallas Winds, Jenna Clark and Kirk Thurmond, and also The Quibble Brothers. For the kids there will be a red white and blue themed fruit tasting, stories, crafts and a scavenger hunt, and more. The kick-off for Family Fun Fridays will be included in the festivities, and 50 new citizens of America will be welcomed during a Naturalization Ceremony. Those who enjoy photography or who just want to take some fun pictures can have their photos taken with Benjamin Franklin or George Washington, and the Exploration Center Plant Lab will play host to the OmniGlobe Presentation: From Sea to Shining Sea, where participants will have an opportunity to learn more about how ocean currents affect the weather.
