Dallas among best US cities for Black professionals

As part of Black History Month this year, Apartment List, an online rental marketplace, asked its Black employees to compile a report ranking the best US cities for Black professions, with Dallas coming in at number 6.

Seventy-six cities were evaluated by Apartment List in four primary categories to arrive at the rankings: economic opportunity, community and representation, business environment, and housing opportunities.

Dallas, which garnered a score of 59.1 of a possible 100 points, was in 39th place when it came to housing opportunities, number 7 in the categories of business environment and economic opportunity, and took the number 5 spot for community and representation.

Research suggests that Texas as a whole is a good place for Black professionals, and dominates the top 10 spots in the overall rankings. San Antonio and Houston ranked a little above Dallas at number 3 and number 4 respectively, with Austin occupying the number 7 spot. San Antonio beat out Dallas by less than 6.5 points.

Rental companies like Apartment List often have multiple uses for signage, including that provided by banner printing services.

The top spot among best cities for Black professionals were Washington DC at number 1 and Atlanta at number 2. Florida earned two locations among the top 10, with Palm Bay at number 5 and Lakeland at number 9. Rounding out the list were Colorado Springs, Colorado at number 8 and Charlotte, North Carolina at number 10.
