City provides funding for South Dallas wellness center

A proposed South Dallas wellness center is to be provided with $450,000 in funding from the City of Dallas.

A multipurpose wellness center is to be built at 3101 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and will be called the MLK Wellness Complex. The complex will offer options to promote wellness such as fitness, healthy diet and lifestyle choices. There will also be healthy food restaurant and office space on premises as well.

The restaurant will feature fresh food with the menu focusing on fruits and vegetables, with options for those who wish to live gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan. The offices will provide space to local practitioners supplying the local community with wellness services. Specializing in youth mentorship, the fitness program will stress a whole-body fitness program and offer neighboring businesses and senior citizen discounted memberships.

Brochure printing services can be extremely helpful in informing the public, through pictures as well as words, of the opportunities available to them.

Funds for the 5,063-square-foot space will come from the Southern Dallas Investment Fund and the Small Business Center-South Dallas Fair Park Opportunity Fund Program. Kingdom Legacy LLC, the recipient of the funds, was started by Ferrell Fellows, a developer and real estate broker. He has made it his mission to increase healthy food options in the community of South Dallas Fair Park, as well as create jobs and provide options to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of the area’s youth.
