Dallas’s love affair with soft-serve ice cream will continue this spring when Aqua S comes from “Down Under” to Dallas.
Originating in Sydney, Australia in 2015, Aqua S quickly expanded via franchises and now has shops throughout Asia. Additionally, Aqua S is in Virginia Beach, Virginia as well as Houston, Texas where it arrived in 2018. Minh Nguyen is the franchisee for the shop that will be opening in, Victory Park, nearly across the street from Billy Can Can.
Nguyen said Victory Park was selected due to its urban nature and the exceptional dining experiences available there. She said early March was targeted for her Aqua S opening
Banner printing is an effective promotional tool for announcing a business is coming, with leeway to add the exact date a shop will be open once it has been determined.
Generally, only three flavors of the more than 100 will be available at any one time. Sea salt, the franchise’s pale aqua tinted signature flavor, is always one of the three. The other two flavors rotate throughout the year, with flavor changes on the 1st and 16th of each month. All U.S. shops serve the same two rotation flavors.
Cones are in the $5 range and come wrapped in cotton candy, or “fairy floss” as the Australians call it, providing a cloud-like effect on which sweet treats are added.
