The Cedar Park Rodeo, a family tradition in the summer, will be back for another year this August, with an expanded form of a popular event.
The event will contain two evenings of professional rodeo events. Competitions including bare back horse riding, bull riding, calf roping, and barrel racing, with both men and women competing. Fan favorite side events include mutton busting, where children ride sheep around the dirt floor, with frisbee dogs. This year will feature additional spots for mutton busting, with contests on both nights and during a special pre-rodeo event, which will also feature happy hour specials for the grown-ups. Competitions are sanctioned by the Cowboys Pro Rodeo Association and United Professional Rodeo Association.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the Sammy Wallace Memorial Scholarship, which was established to support Cedar Park students entering the sports and entertainment industries, named after the former general manager of the H-E-B Center. In addition to the rodeo competition there will be vendors providing refreshments, gift items and more. Vendors often use special sales or Promotional Products to take advantage of the occasion, and may feature “cowboy” themes or products aimed at an animal-loving audience.
The 2025 Cedar Park Rodeo will take place on August 8 to 9 at the H-E-B Center. Group and family ticket rates are available.
