Whether they are new to the joys of keeping bees or are experienced in the art of apiculture, Cedar Park’s community of beekeepers may wish to save space in their calendar for a special area event.
The Austin Area Beekeepers Association will be offering a day of learning that will offer both beginner and experienced tracks. Classes with run throughout the event, and there are at least 23 on the agenda to choose from. The apiarists can select the ones that are most relevant to their needs, and they will be led by an assortment of industry experts. There will also be time for the registrants to meet and mingle, sharing tips and advice while they do.
The fee to register for the occasion is $65 each, and the proceeds from this educational fundraiser will be used by the organization hosting the function to support sustainable beekeeping, as well as research into bee health. Round Rock’s Austin Marriott North will be the venue for this bee-themed function. It will be offered on February 2, and the price is the same for both the beginner and advanced tracks.
