Families of special needs kids can sometimes have a tough road to travel. A Cedar Park fundraiser can help to make sure that RISE for Families will be able to support these members of the community, and it promises to be lots of fun as well.
Leander’s firefighters are used to dealing with heat, and they will be judging the 2nd annual Rise for Families Chili Cookoff. Local chefs and chili fans will be putting their personal recipe to the test in what will be an action-packed day.
A taco bar will be manned by staff from Chuy’s, and guests at the celebration can enjoy these savory treats. There will be special activities for the kids such as face painting, train rides, and balloon artists, and a silent auction, vendor alley, and live music will round out the celebration.
Admission to the cookoff is free, but donations will be most welcome. All of the proceeds will be passed along to RISE for Families and used to help community members. Certificates for the winners, as well awards and other Corporate Gifts for this sort of festive fundraiser, can be custom designed and prepared by a Print shop.
This chance for area chili lovers to fill their bowls and bellies will be on offer on March 28. The gathering will be held at 3500 Goodnight Trail in Leander.
