Cedar Park workshop to welcome curious quilters

The recent Covid pandemic saw more people stay home and enjoy themselves by learning a new hobby, and those who decided to take up quilting can look forward to an upcoming event in Cedar Park.

The APQS Roadshow will be giving the crafting public an opportunity to learn if a longarm-style sewing machine may be a good fit for them. There will be a variety of models available for them to experience on site.

One of the options being presented is a workshop that will run for more than three hours, and it will supply an introduction to the use of a longarm sewing machine. Guests will have an opportunity to discuss threading, batting, and other materials and techniques, and there will also be a review of some freehand instruction manuals. Those who own a business can find out if one these pieces of equipment may be useful to them, and accessories and maintenance are on the agenda as well.

The function is free and open to all, but advance registration is required. Manuals, buyer and service contracts and Letterheads can all be prepared for such an activity by area printers.

The 2022 APQS Longarm Experience workshop will be on offer on September 10, starting at 12:30 pm. Cedar Park’s Over the Top Quilting Studio located at 200 Buttercup Creek Boulevard will be the venue for the learning opportunity.
