The Cedar Park area is busily preparing for the holiday season, and its residents have been invited to be a part of a day filled with festive fun.
Leander has a tradition of kicking off its holiday celebrations with special activities, and these are on its agenda once more for early December. The function is hosted courtesy of its Chamber of Commerce, and the fun on offer will include options for all ages.
The day will get off to an active start with a Rudolph Run, and this will be followed by a community parade. This gives businesses, not-for-profit organizations, schools and anyone else who is interested a chance to delight their neighbors. The Christmas Marketplace will provide unique gift ideas, and the evening will see a movie screening and tree lighting ceremony at Old Town Park. Area first responders will be collecting toys and other items to distribute to kids to help make their holiday happier.
Hosting a community activity day gives towns and cities a way to help create a festive spirit, and a banner printing company will be happy to lend a hand. It can offer a range of decor choices, which will include single-use styles as well as ones that may be used over and ever.
The event will be held on Saturday, December 4, with activities scheduled to begin at 9:00 am and end at 8:00 pm.
