Cedar Park to host annual summer cookoff

Summer time is right around the corner, and in Cedar Park, that means it is almost time for an annual BBQ celebration.

The community’s Chamber of Commerce has plans on tap for its Cedar Fest and BBQ Cook Off, and it will give local grillers a chance to put their talents to the test. Cash prizes will be awarded, and there are enough spaces for up to 70 teams.

The backyard chefs who participate in the competition will be working with a variety of meats, and chicken, pork, pork ribs, and beef brisket are all on the menu. Teams must complete their registration form and submit all the required fees before their registration will be confirmed, and the total pay-out for the day will be $15,000. The sites will be assigned to the registrants on a first come, first served basis, and set up will take place the day before the cook off is set to take place.

Along with a cash prize, the organizers of an activity like this often choose to present the winners with a trophy or other customized Corporate Gifts. A printer will have lot of options for these, ranging from a traditionally styled award to one completely outside the box.
