Cedar Park runners invited to help beat brain cancer

Cedar Park folks of all ages will soon have an opportunity to lace up their sneakers in support of those living with brain cancer.

The 2016 Brain Power 5k will see people from all across the area come together to raise both funds and awareness. There will be both 5K and 10k options available, as well as a kids’ run and Survivor Stride. All those who sign up to take part will receive a commemorative race bib, a race T-shirt, a complimentary sports massage, and free entry to the post-race party, where there will be food, drinks, an awards ceremony, and displays from a variety of vendors. A Print company can produce everything, from Banners to race bibs, that is needed to make an event like this a success.

Funds raised through the day’s activities will be used to help support research into brain cancer and improve the outcome for people living with this disease.

The race day, which has been set for September 11, will begin at 8:00 am with a kids’ fun run. After that, there will be a warm up and the Survivor Stride, which will be followed by the chip-timed 5k and 10k runs and a fun walk/run. After that, the party and awards ceremony will take place. This is all happening at 2100 Avenue of the Stars.

Those who would like to find out more can do so by visiting the event’s website.
