Cedar Park residents will soon have hundreds of new places to call home

An Austin-based company has begun work on the first phase of a large scale development in Cedar Park.

The project, named ‘Presido’ is being undertaken by Riverside Resources. It will offer those who live in its lofts a variety of amenities including restaurants, shops, office space, as well as a 100-room hotel. The plan is for there to be 320 urban lofts along with 21,000 square feet of room for restaurants and other retail establishments. The entire site will cover a space of more than 100 acres.

Due to its large size, Presido will have room to accommodate an extensive campus of offices. This, combined with the living, commercial and retail space, will allow residents to access the spaces where they live, work, and play all within easy reach of one another, and they will not need a car to get around in their daily life.

A planned system of walking trails and green spaces will interconnect the buildings, making it both a walkable and bikeable community. There will also be a park and a designated space for food trucks for those who want to eat while they are on the go. Construction of the first phase of the project has begun, and it is hoped that it will be ready for occupancy sometime in 2016.
