Cedar Park families are invited to an event that has been organized to help disadvantaged children throughout Williamson County to have a happier holiday season.
Keystone Concrete will be hosting its 1st Annual Williamson County Brown Santa 5K and Fun Run. The 5k route will wind its way through the downtown area of Georgetown, after which there will be a one-mile fun run for the kids. Food vendors, including the local deputy sheriff, will be on hand with an assortment of food options for those who need to recharge after the race.
The 5k portion of the day will be chip timed, and each participant will be given a specially designed race T-shirt to thank them for coming out in support of the cause. Medals will be awarded in different age categories, and the overall female and male racers will also receive a trophy. For the kids, there will be ribbons and T-Shirts. Items such as these can be produced by a Print company.
The cost to take part in the day’s activities is $25 for adults and $10 for children. Currently serving military members, veterans, first responders, and law enforcement will be eligible for a discount of $5 off the fee.
The 1st Annual Williamson County Brown Santa 5K and Fun Run will take place on October 1 in downtown Georgetown, starting at 7:00 am. More information is available on its Eventbrite listing.
