Cedar Park healthcare options on the upswing

Cedar Park’s growth has been mirrored by a rise in the number of healthcare facilities and practices, with more set to open this year and next.

Since 2014, the facilities and practices dealing with mental health, sports medicine, and nutritional services have been growing. Moreover, specialists are moving into Cedar Park and emergency care options have increased as well. Even more exciting healthcare news is on the horizon, which when included by printing companies in the city’s promotional material will no doubt increase Cedar Park’s appeal to families.

In nearby Leander, the Cedar Park Regional Medical Center (CPRMC), which has already supplied the area with its first freestanding emergency room on Crystal Falls Parkway, is working on a pediatric urgent care center. Now under construction and expecting to open in March 2016, the pediatric urgent care facility will occupy a freestanding building near CPRMC.

The three-story building will provide pediatric urgent care services and specialty services on the first floor, with the remaining two floors given to pediatric physicians. Doctors from the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas will have offices in the building. Already, 95 per cent of the building is leased.

Other pediatric services, such as Urgent Care for Kids, which began providing after-hours pediatric care on July 1 in Cedar Park, as well as adult healthcare services, have flocked to the Cedar Park area.
