Each year, Central Texas SPCA hosts a festival that welcomes one and all, and 2023’s installment of its annual Cedar Park Barktoberfest fundraiser is right around the corner.
This not-for-profit group works to find homes for stray and abandoned animals, care for those that have been abused or neglected, and also to raise awareness about issues related to animal welfare. Its Barktoberfest has come to be a popular activity, and there are several ticket options available.
The plans for the day include a one-mile dog walk, as well as a vendor alley with lots of pet-related and other business setting up shop. Its costume contest for pets and kids has proved to be a crowd pleaser, and a silent auction, food service area, and fun run are all on the agenda. There are several sponsorship packages on offer too.
To help spread the word about the importance of animal welfare, those who attend the function have been offered a chance to purchase T-Shirts with special graphic design prepared for the occasion. These can be purchased on their own, and they will be given to those who sign up for the run or walk as well.
The Central Texas SPCA will be hosting this barking good time for its supporters and the general public on September 21. Veteran’s Memorial Park has been selected to serve as the venue of the day.
