Cedar Park area plans return of high-flying festival

The Cedar Park area is about to experience some up-in-the-air fun when it welcomes the return of an annual event.

The community of Leander will once again be hosting its Kite Festival, and Devine Lake Park will be the venue for the day. It will be free and open to all, and there are multiple activities on the agenda.

Guests will be able to try their hand at kite flying, and everyone can bring their own kite from home. Food and other vendors have been invited to participate, and the organizers will be accepting applications from local small businesses that would like to set up shop for the occasion.

The city has prepared a vendor application form, and those interested will need to submit theirs before Friday, April 19. Set-up time will begin at 10:00 am on the day of the event, and the applicants must supply their own table and booth decor. They will be able to distribute Promotional Products to the crowd, and it may also be a valuable sales opportunity. Along with this, there are also sponsorship packages on offer, starting at $500.00.

This annual celebration of spring’s arrival will be taking flight at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 4. Its Patch listing provides further information for both the area’s business community and the general public.
