Cedar Bark Park site of dog-centric festival

The Cedar Park Parks and Recreation Department is presenting the Cedar Bark Festival in conjunction with the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter and Friends of the Cedar Bark Park.

The Cedar Bark Festival will provide dog-centric shopping opportunity for owners, and a doggie meet-and-greet social time. Included in the planned activities are a dog beauty pageant, costume contest, talent show, photo booth, agility demonstrations, and tricks for treats. This will be the second year for this event, which takes place at the dog park (Cedar Bark Park) in Veterans Memorial Park.

The Cedar Bark Park Festival is just one example of the many park activities for which a banner printing service can advertise and drum up excitement.

There is no cost to attend, although the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will have receptacles set up in anticipation that festival-goers will make donations. Ideas for donations include canned cat and dog food, blankets, large towels, treats, kitten formula, heating pads, and new dog toys.

In addition to the planned activities, numerous products, and loads of information will be available from the vendors and nonprofits organizations on hand. Additionally, food and beverages will be on hand for purchase. Attendees are asked to keep their dogs on a leash.

The Cedar Bark Park Festival will take place 10:00 am to 2:00 pm this Saturday, April 25. All proceeds from vendor fees will benefit the Cedar Bark Park.
