On July 22, plans for the long awaited new multiuse complex in Cedar Park were laid out for residents to see.
The ‘Destination Bell Boulevard’ plans made available at the recent meeting were only preliminary, but they nevertheless gave everyone who viewed them plenty to think about. Included in the designs were plans for apartments, restaurants, office buildings shops, and walking and running trails.
Those in attendance at the unveiling were supplied with green stickers they could use to indicate their favorite design features. Feedback supplied at the meeting will be incorporated in to the final plans that will soon be taken to city council for approval.
In order to free up space for a 40-acre oval tract for a 12-acre park, as well as office, retail, and residential development, it will be necessary to move a portion of 183 acres, also known as Bell Boulevard eastward. Those living and working in the immediate vicinity expressed some concern about the negative affect on local commerce and quality of life, but they were reassured that road construction would not directly affect commuters.
Long before tenants in the new complex place are ready to place their orders with Stationery printers, the city might consider using brochure printers to help explain the project to the public and build anticipation for its completion.
