For many people, it wouldn’t be summer without taking some time to enjoy some sun-ripened peaches. Cedar Park will be making this fruit the centerpiece of a community celebration.
The Texas Farmers’ Market at Lakeline will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with special summertime events, and in July, it will be hosting a Peach Festival. All ages can enjoy the celebration, and the attendees can expect to enjoy plenty of messy fun.
The plans for the day include a peach toss, where teams of participates will be lobbing overripe peaches at one other. The prize for this friendly competition will be two baskets of peaches.
There will also be a peach tasting tent where the public can sample the wide varieties of this stone fruit that are grown in Texas. Peach cooking demos have also been planned, and peach face painting and other activities are also on the agenda.
A gathering like this can draw visitors to a community, and promoting it to the surrounding area is of importance to draw people in. A poster printing company can help, and will be able to offer lots of marketing materials for the occasion.
