Sounds of Japanese drumming come to Austin

A Japanese taiko drumming group called Yamato will be performing in Austin this March.

The performance of the group is defined as “Physical Sound” because of the explosive sounds they create with their drums. They are from the Asuka-mura Nara Prefecture, thought of by many Japanese as the nation’s hometown.

The Yamato group was created in 1993 and has given more than 4,000 shows in more than 50 nations across the world. Yamato’s music is known to cover varying levels of emotions during performances, from the intense, to the comforting, to the sad, with comedy also present at times.

Tickets to the event vary by the seating area, and go from $35 to $65. The event will also feature a cocktail hour designated to eligible members of the Paramount Theater. Event parking is being provided at the 600 Congress parking garage and there is a clear bag policy for this event.

Flyer printing can be a great way for organizers to get information out about events such as this one.

The event will take place on Monday, March 20. It will begin at 7:00 pm, although the doors will open at 6:00 pm. The Member Cocktail Hour will also be at 6:00 pm. Its location will be at the Paramount Theatre on 713 Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78701.
