Jingle all the way to the finish line in Austin
Runners and walkers will gather to compete in the 30th annual Mothers Against Drunk Driving Jingle Bell 5K in Austin next month. Organizers of outdoor charity events such as this often use banner printing to bring attention to their cause.
The event will raise awareness and funds for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) of Central Texas. MADD is a national non-profit organization with headquarters in Texas, which advocates for an end to drunk driving. Some reports suggest the organization, which has a presence in other countries, has helped reduce drunk driving in the US by 40 percent since it was created in 1980. MADD also advocates for tougher drunk driving laws and stiffer penalties.
Colorful hats, Christmas bells and a visit from Santa will highlight the Austin charity running event which also includes a kids’ fun run.
Freshly designed event T-shirts will be provided to the first 800 run participants and a medal will be awarded to the top three finishers in age divisions. Each child who takes part in the kids’ fun run will also receive a medal. Virtual participants are also allowed to take part.
The festive Jingle Bell 5K will be held on December 7, 2025 beginning at 7 am. The start and finish line will be on the lawn in front of the IPIC Theater at Amy Donovan Plaza in Austin.
