Songwriter conference to take place in Austin

There will be an annual Songwriter Symposium taking place in Austin this February, which is to be hosted by the Austin Songwriters Group.

The event spans five days and four nights, featuring workshops, concerts, panels, song circles, and private sessions that include producers, publishers, and entertainment attorneys. Attendees will also gain access to the Texas Music Legends Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony, partake in a lunch on the fourth day of the event, and participate in all-night picking circles, among other activities.

The conference is characterized by its educational and enjoyable nature, with industry professionals and participants alike. The event’s workshops will cover various aspects, including co-writing, songwriting, understanding of the business of publishing, distribution, production discussions, touring, and live performance. Attendees will also get the chance to delve into specific areas of interest and leave with new instruments for their music toolbox, new connections, and a more useful understanding of ways to stand out in the crowded music scene.

Those who register before January 31 will pay $275. Following this, the cost will be $350. Attendees can register through the event’s Allevents listing.
